Privacy Policy

Scope

This policy covers the Life in the UK Test 2026 - Pip app for Android, package name in.unileaf.lifeintheuk, published on Google Play by Unileaf Technology Private Limited. It describes the app as shipped, and the same text is shown inside the app under Settings.

It does not describe the unileaf.in website, which has its own privacy policy. Nothing on that page applies to this app.

The app is developed independently and is not affiliated with the Home Office or TSO. Its questions are original practice material.

What we collect

Nothing. The app has no account, no sign-in, no advertising, no analytics, no crash reporting and no third-party SDK that talks to a server. There is no installation identifier, no event stream and no crash upload.

It does not request permission to use the internet, and an Android app without that permission cannot send data anywhere. Every question, explanation and photograph is inside the download, so the whole app works with no connection. That is a property of the build, checkable in its manifest, rather than a promise.

The code contains a Google Play Billing library that is never started, because this version sells nothing. No purchase, payment or billing information of any kind is involved.

What stays on your device

Your chapter practice history, weak-area review schedule, mock test attempts and scores, readiness estimate, streak and daily goal, test date, reminder setting and explanation language are written to the app’s private storage on your device. We never see them.

If Android’s backup is switched on for your device, Android may include that data in the backup it keeps in your own Google account. That backup belongs to you and is handled by Google under its own terms; we have no access to it.

Uninstalling the app, or clearing its storage from Android Settings, deletes everything it stored.

Notifications

If you switch the daily reminder on, you choose an hour and Android asks you for notification permission. Your device then schedules one local notification a day at that time and shows it. There is no push service, no message from a server and no record of whether you opened it. Switching the reminder off cancels it.

Links out and email

The app can open this policy, the photograph credits on Wikimedia Commons and the font licences in your own browser, and the “report a problem” action on a question opens your own email app with a draft addressed to contact@unileaf.in. Nothing is sent unless you choose to send it, and anything you do send is handled by your browser or email provider under their terms.

What Google Play tells us

Google Play reports anonymous, aggregate install and crash counts to us, as it does for every app on the store. That is a function of Play rather than something the app does, and it identifies nobody.

Children

The app is not directed at children. Its subject is a United Kingdom immigration test, so it is intended for adults preparing for that test. It has no account and collects information from no one, of any age.

Your rights

There is nothing for us to delete, correct or export on request, because we hold nothing. To remove what the app has stored on your device, uninstall it or clear its storage.

Changes

If a future version collects anything, adds analytics or crash reporting, or offers a purchase, this page will change first and say what, why and who it goes to, and the app’s Data safety section on Google Play and the copy inside the app will say the same. Until then the answer stays: nothing.
