No Cross

Join every pair with a thread. Cross nothing. Stitched puzzles that never end.

Six coloured dots on a piece of linen. Join each pair with a thread — and let nothing cross. Not another line, not itself, not a dot that isn’t yours. Every puzzle has a way through; finding it is the game.

Eight hand-made puzzles teach the idea. After that the puzzles are generated without end, and each one is built by solving it first, so an impossible board cannot reach you.

Features

  • Stitched, not drawn. Set on an embroidery hoop: felt dots, twisted yarn pulled taut, and a board lit like an object on a table. Three thread palettes — Warm Linen, Midnight Wool and Autumn Wool.
  • Eight puzzles, then for ever. The hand-made eight end with a puzzle people share online. Generated puzzles follow and get harder in four distinct ways.
  • Every puzzle has an answer. No timer, no lives, no energy meter and no way to lose. Draw a thread again and it replaces the old one — that is the undo.
  • Play your way. Every chapter opens its first two puzzles straight away. Drop into a later chapter if the early ones are easy, or replay a finished puzzle with fewer slips.
  • Quiet by design. No adverts, no in-app purchases, no account and no internet permission. Sound and haptics switch off in one tap.

Screens

  • A puzzle on the embroidery hoop: six dots in three colours, waiting to be joined.
  • The first puzzle solved, with a red and a blue thread stitched across the hoop.
  • A generated puzzle with dots pinned to the rim of the hoop.
  • The level select: chapters of puzzles, with solved, open and locked cells.
  • The Threads sheet: Warm Linen, Midnight Wool and Autumn Wool palettes, and the sound switch.
